DIY: The waterfall braid (the fairytale braid)

The English braid, the French braid, the Dutch braid, the herringbone braid, the micro braids, the Lauren Conrad braid... I think I made my point! There are loads of different braids but a relatively unknown one is the waterfall braid, also known as the fairytale braid. Its name derives from its looks, as it looks like your locks of hair are falling through the braid.
So, if you want to have an original hairdo: try this one!

You will need:
- A comb to separate the first lock of hair from the rest of your hair
- A rubber band to stop your braid from falling out at the end
- Optionally: another person to help you as this requires some practice at first:)

Step one:
Use the comb to gather a lock of hair at the front of your head which is large enough to divide into three sections.

Step two:
Cross the three strands just like you would do with a normal braid so that you crossed each strand once.

Step three:
From now on, start to plait in and cross each strand again. (Take a new strand above the braid and attach it to the upper strand that you are already holding)

Step four:
Instead of crossing the lowest strand of hair over the rest again, you drop it (or ask the person that you are braiding to hold it)

Step five:
Take a new strand under the braid and use this one as the 'new' third strand. Instead of adding hair to the old strand, you have created a new one.

Step six:
Take another strand above the braid and plait in like normal.

Step seven:
Repeat step four to six as long as you want.

Enjoy!

Not clear enough? As an image says more than a thousand words, you can follow what I just explained in this short movie as well.

I was wondering which blog platform are you using for this website?
I'm getting tired of Wordpress because I've had
problems with hackers and I'm looking at options for
another platform. I would be fantastic if you could point me in the
    direction of a good platform.

  16. Great blog! Do you have any suggestions for aspiring writers?
I'm hoping to start my own website soon but I'm a little lost on everything.
Would you recommend starting with a free platform like Wordpress or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I'm completely confused ..

    Any suggestions? Bless you!

    1. I started out by writing on a free platform, this Blogspot platform. I recommend you doing that and taking the time to find out if it is something you really like and want to continue doing. When looking at myself, for example, I really enjoyed the first months of blogging, and I still do, but I find myself not having enough time, or enough willpower to continue. Would be a shame if this happens to you as well, and paid for it.
So I would say; just start and see how active you can be. If you are really active, I would recommend a paid option, simply because it will be more challenging for you to continue!
