Another hair style, for me and someone else

People who know me, know that I've been thinking about donating my hair for a long time. However, I always found an excuse: after prom I will do it, because I really want beautiful, long hair on my prom pictures. My prom was in June, I eventually donated my hair in October (because, you know, I was going to college and people there needed to see me with long hair, and I didn't know which hairdresser to go to, and I didn't want it to be too short...) Well, the main reason was that I was afraid. That people wouldn't think of me as "pretty" when I had short hair. That people would tell me I made a mistake.

What was I thinking?! People who would think that should not matter to me! So, eventually, I went to the hairdresser together with my mother (for mental support), and it turned out not so bad after all!

Simple variation of ponytail/advance to simple updo

It's been a while since I've posted something but today I ran into such a simple variation of a ponytail; I could not keep it from you! 
When I'm working my long hair mainly annoys me and therefore I put it in a ponytail. I know that gets boring, but it's easy! And be honest with me, trying to create a cute hairdo when you're at work/at school is practically impossible...
This easy flip of your ponytail creates a subtile change to your look and probably takes you 5 seconds more than a regular ponytail, and if you take it a few steps further you can create a gorgeos updo as well! 

DIY: Fishbone/fishtail braid

Again, something I love about summer! Different hairstyles. (Maybe I keep writing articles about the summer so it comes faster?). During the summer I always wear my hair different, e.g. more braids. DIY: Easy but cute updo

Medium or long hair; so many opportunities! Last week a friend of mine joined her boyfriend (whose birthday it is today! Happy birthday Pip!) to the prom. Of course she stressed out about her hair, make-up and dress, and asked me to do her hair and make-up. We searched for hours. She did not want her hair to be up, but she did not want it loose... She did not want a braid, but she did not want her hair straightened as well. Luckily, we found this movie on youtube and decided to do her hair like that!

DIY: The waterfall braid (the fairytale braid)

The English braid, the French braid, the Dutch braid, the herringbone braid, the micro braids, the Lauren Conrad braid... I think I made my point! There are loads of different braids but a relatively unknown one is the waterfall braid, also known as the fairytale braid. Its name derives from its looks, as it looks like your locks of hair are falling through the braid.

So, if you want to have an original hairdo: try this one!
