DIY: Chain (necklace) shirt

We saw them at the catwalk, and they appear in stores more often and often: chain shirts. I kinda love them, but if you know me then you also know that I'm a budget freak! And since chain shirts are often pretty expensive, I decided to find out how to make it yourself! Do you like them too? Let me show you how to make a chain shirt yourself!

You will need:
- A basic black/white t-shirt or singlet with a higher neck-piece
- 500 cm long, thin, silver(?)coloured chain (which you can find in hobby/D.I.Y. shops)
- Black nylon yarn
- A pair of scissors
- A needle

Step one:
Take the black nylon yarn and put it through the eye of the needle. Make sure that you end up with a double string once you put it through! Stitch one end of the chain to one shoulder of your shirt or singlet.

Step two:
Drape the chain via the front to the other shoulder and stitch it. Make sure that you drape the chain loosely!

Step three:
Drape the chain back to the first shoulder and continue with step two until you are almost at the end of the chain. When you are almost at the end, let the chain drop down like you see on the picture.

Enjoy!
