DIY: Memorable newspaper

It's almost your best friend's birthday, but you cannot find the perfect gift. Recognizable? My friends and I had the same problem in November, for Annabel's birthday. However, I found a website on which you could design your own personal newspaper. But hey, I'm a budget freak (well, that's a bit exaggerated), but I rather do not spend 30 euros on two A3 format sheets. So, we decided to make a newspaper ourselves!

All of us (me + 2 friends) wrote a few articles which were connected to exciting memories of events we shared. Eventually it turned out that we could create everything by ourselves! We handed over the newspaper when we were out for dinner, and she was amazed by the gift.
Do you like the idea? Let me give you some tips:

- Work together with other people (more articles -> a better newspaper idea)
- Make it personal! Include pictures and short and funny stories.
- Make sure you start ahead, it is pretty much work but it is fun to do!
- If you want it to look like a real newspaper, use a newspaper lay-out (remember font, language, tone, etc.) Also, include the different sections of the newspaper.
- Include some puzzles, comics and advertisements to make it even more enjoyable.
- Make sure you save it as well, as it is nice to look back upon it after a while!

Here you can see what our newspaper gift looked like!
