DIY: T-shirt to bolero

It’s almost Christmas; which means that there is time for a break. No school, no obligations, just some time for yourself. During this break, you finally have the time to clean your closet and sort out your clothes. Mostly when I do this, I come across loads of t-shirts that I actually do not wear any more. But throwing it away… that is a pity as well. Do you have the same problem? Not any more: you can turn your t-shirt into a cute bolero!

You will need:

- T-shirt

- Sewing machine

- A pair of scissors

- Pins

- A ribbon

Step one:

Cut the shirt according to the black line on the picture. Make sure you get rid of the collar as well, may this be the case.

Step two:

Fold the edges you have created one centimeter to the inside on both sides and pin them down. You should have created a cylinder tunnel once you have done this.

Step three:

Stitch with the aid of the sewing machine alongside the pins and take care of enough margin to pull the ribbon through.

Step four:

Get the ribbon through, an easy way to do this is with the aid of a long needle.

Step five:a

Pull the ribbon and tie the two ends together once you have put on the bolero. Easy as that!
